It all started in 2007 from an 8 square meter store at Old Kallang Airport Road hawker centre. An old couple decided to start selling soya beancurd and name it "Lao Ban" which literally translates to an old companion who have been together for a long time.
Success started chasing Lao Ban when they introduced their smooth and silky chilled soya beancurd pudding. Customers queued for as long as 90 minutes to get their hands on the chilled beancurd.
The younger generation of Lao Ban stepped up with the intention of delighting not only the palates of those in Singapore, but to spread the happiness derived from consuming the chilled beancurd to people all over the world. Hence, the birth of Xiao Ban. Bringing the taste of Singapore overseas.
